Football Shirt Hunting in Charity Shops Week 3

This week I combined some car booting with charity shops in the hope of picking up some more football shirts to trade, sell or keep, first was a visit to my local car boot sale where I managed to pick up some really nice shirts.

Manchester United 2014-15 away shirt

Yet another Manchester United shirt, at this stage it feels like all I am finding are Manchester United, is it because the fan base is so large or had it to do with their recent form that fans were either donating or selling their shirts at car boot sales? either way, I picked up the 2014-15 away shirt in a size XXL for €5 and was able to flip this for a cool €20.

Profit: €15

Joe Murphy Ireland shirt

My next find was probably my best find of the series so far, a player-issued Republic of Ireland goalkeeper shirt from the 2009/10 season with a number 16 on the back (Irish keeper Joe Murphy wore this number during this time period), this only set me back €5 and I was able to quickly sell this for €60, best profit so far landing me €55.

Portugal 2008 home shirt

With car booting now done, I set off to the Charity shops where I picked up a Portugal 2008 home shirt in a size medium for €3, another shirt that if it was in my size I certainly would have kept but as it was not I decided instead to sell for €23, landing me another profit of €20, the only shame was it did not have a Ronaldo name set included.

And so finished another week, I went into the week with €32 to play around with and after buying and selling I was able to grow my profit to a now very healthy €122, the big winner of course being the Joe Murphy Ireland shirt.
